McGregor shows us he can train for specific opponents, and develop endurance and pace for a 5 round war. Well fought and great tempo the whole way through.
1st fight ends with sub. 2nd fight Conor wins by decision rather than a KO. Clearly Nate was the better fighter. It's criminal that we never got a trilogy.
In the moment I thought Diaz did enough to win. After rewatching a few times McGregor did squeak by. At the time I also failed to take into consideration that barring a completely one sided beating for 5 rounds, the judges were never going to give a decision against a champion. Still a classic fight that was part of a great rivalry.
