Lorenzo Hunt is one of the worst possible representatives for bare knuckle boxing.

In the moment I thought Diaz did enough to win. After rewatching a few times McGregor did squeak by. At the time I also failed to take into consideration that barring a completely one sided beating for 5 rounds, the judges were never going to give a decision against a champion. Still a classic fight that was part of a great rivalry.

Randy was able to make Brock feel unsure of himself during the first round. It's wild that this was only Brock's third fight in his career but he was able to coast on size and wrestling power. At the time this was a really big deal and it was fun to watch live in a bar with a hyped crowd.

It's a bit slow and lacking some action but it's also Couture's specialty. However, it was a a bit of a controversial decision.

Exactly what anyone with a brain thought it would be. Gall immediately taking Phil Pepsi down and submitting him. Punk looked every bit the inexperienced, unathletic fighter that he is.

What a joke XD CM Punk was so full himself and so full of hubris he used his star power to jump right up to the UFC instead of working his way up like he did in wrestling. I understand he was in his mid-30's when he started training but Batista had his fight at the lower levels in his mid-40's. This fight really showed how unathletic and low skilled Punk was. As I was watching this I kept asking if he even trained at all because it sure as shit didn't look like it.

This is more about the novelty of two hall of famers who somehow never crossed paths during the early years of mma. They were the same age but Randy was clearly in better condition. If this fight happened between two nobodies on the prelims it wouldn't register but circus fights are still fun sometimes.

It's not a good fight but it was a lot of fun anticipating to be honest. At least it was for me. The variable of Toney's power with his boxing was always the big "what if?" in this fight. Of course, it didn't matter because as Joe Rogan said, "what we learned at UFC 1 still is applied at UFC 118" A circus fight for sure but sometimes that's fun too.

Juice or not, being 47 years old and being even remotely competitive against a guy in his prime is pretty amazing. The thing about any performance enhancing is that you still have to put the work in. A pretty good fight with an incredibly memorable knockout. A tough way for Randy to retire but he didn't look bad at all in this fight.

Kudos to Crosbie for wanting to continue instead of taking the DQ win but I wouldn't have blamed him if he did. Nueraji gets a tainted, cheap shit win that won't do either man any favors.

One of the most satisfying victories I've ever watched. Ronda, the persona, helped women's mma gain mainstream attention. Ronda, the fighter, gained hubris and thought she could out strike everyone with a terrible coach. Instead of taking more time off after UFC 207 and changing coaches and teams, she quit. After all of the trash talking and arrogance she showed she had the resolve of melted butter.

It's an incredible fight from start to finish. It also showed why 5 round non title main events are important. If this ended after round 3 it's an easy unanimous decision win for Hendo in what would likely be considered not a bad fight but hardly the classic it became. Shogun's comeback in the last two rounds made this the captivating war we all know.

When I first watched this fight, which was several years after it happened, I already knew the outcome but after watching the first two rounds I was questioning my own sanity. Couture dominated Ricco and it was close to being stopped. Then Ricco adjusted and beat Randy up for the victory.

This is my personal favorite fight of all time. I didn't give it a 10 ironically because it is mostly one sided with Couture showing a lot of heart and fighting back at various points. It was a fight I never thought I'd see and was really the only time it could've happened. The atmosphere in Oregon is great too. Obviously they heavily favored Couture but showed respect to Nogueria

If Michael Page is so great and so difficult to "figure out", then why hasn't he been a champion anywhere yet? His theatrics only work if you actually win something, like Anderson Silva.

It's a little tough to rate a fight like this because it's impressive to watch someone who is so skilled at a particular aspect of mma that they completely dominate their opponent. On the other that ol Dagestani lay n pray isn't fun to watch. That said, I'm only giving this a rating above a 5 is because a champion was completely destroyed. Du Plessi looked like he never grappled before.

I just rewatched this fight recently and I don't want to say I "forgot" how good it was because I've always loved this fight, what I didn't quite remember was how close Silva was to finishing Brown a second time after another liver shot. An outstanding fight from both guys who showed a lot of heart.
