Training Against Bears
Khabib Nurmagomedov literally wrestled with bears when he was young. Nurmagomedov grew up in Dagestan, where as a nine year old boy, his father led him out towards the edge of the forest, where a bear cub was chained to a nearby tree. His dad then turned on a handheld camera, pointed it at his son, and ordered him to the wrestle the animal. Khabib, even at that young age displayed technique and heart.

Stockton Slap
A signature move of fighters Nick and Nate Diaz. The brothers often open hand slap their opponents during MMA fights, a move named after their hometown, Stockton, California.

Letting Him Be A Warrior
When a MMA referee allows a fight to go on while one fighter is being beaten badly, fans say the ref is letting the fighter be a warrior. The idea is that although a fighter is being dominated they are fighting on, which makes them "a warrior", while many fans believe the ref should step in a stop the fight. The phrase originated referee Mario Yamasaki was asked about why it took so long for him to stop a one-sided beating between Valentina Shevchenko and Priscila Cachoeira, he said he was "letting her be a warrior."

Uneducated Fool
"Uneducated Fool" is an insult said by Georges St-Pierre to his opponent Nick Diaz in the build up to their UFC 158 championship bout. GSP, who is a native French speaker speaking English as a second language, often says things that anglophones find humorous because his attempted insults are softened in translation. Conor McGregor posted videos of himself doing some atypical training in a park with his 'movement' coach Ido Portal. During a heated press conference for UFC 196, Nate Diaz made fun of this, coining a legendary phrase "Touch Butt In The Park"

Joe Rogan vs Ice Spill
Between rounds of Melvin Guillard vs Ronys Torres at UFC 109, a bag of ice cubes broke inside the octagon spilling all over. Officials tried to hastily clean up the ice, but knocked over the collection bucket, re-spilling the ice several more times. Then they attempted to sweep the ice through the side fencing and nearly left ice in the cage before starting the next round. Joe Rogan was on commentary and hilariously made fun of the ice situation.
Joe Rogan: "Wow look at all the ice all over the octagon. Oh that's a problem, someone spilled ice in the octagon... (about the cleanup effort) they knocked the bucket over, three stooges, what are you freaks doing? Everybody's booing."

Anderson Silva, a Brazillian who speaks English as a second language, says "Is Normal" a lot where an English speaker might say "Fine". For example, when asked how he feels during fight week, he responds "is normal."
